Another Thanksgiving is here, but this one will sadly be marked by a terrible loss. 2018 brings with it the first Thanksgiving that the world will be without Stan Lee. While its hard not to mourn his death, we would be remiss if we did not celebrate his life - especially for someone who has given us so much to be grateful for. In this special episode Derek and Myke enlist the help of many of our previous guests, and one special friend of the pod, in commemorating the life and passing of Stan Lee. Stan, we are so grateful to you for helping to create this community that we feel safe and thrive in. Rest in Peace Stan Lee and Happy Thanksgiving to all! Excelsior!
It's another Derek and Myke catch up episode! We had so much to say last week about the movies we've watched that it spilled over to this episode. California's also on fire again, so we definitely can't help but talk about that and then we get into 'A Star Is Born' for the majority of the episode. Derek does talk about seeing "On The Basis of Sex" and Myke talks about "The Haunting of Hill House". Its another classic TGF episode!

The Geekdom Sportscast is our spinoff podcast format about fantasy leagues, and pro sports in general! This is the NFL Edition hosted by Derek and Robert.
It's Week 10 on the Geekdom Sportscast and Robert and Derek are starting to feel the pressure in their Fantasy leagues. They also recap the games of Week 9, talk about Dez going to the Saints, and give their thoughts on the teams that are either making playoff bids or already done.
We're just as shocked as you that we're doing a whole episode on this movie, especially since it was our guest, Gio's, idea. What's even weirder is that we talk about sports for a lot of the beginning part of the podcast. Yet its fitting because the band whose biopic we just watched has two songs that are totally synonymous with stadiums and sports. Just like there was more to Queen than 'We Will Rock You' and 'We are the Champions' you'll find out there's more to our tastes than just geek movies, the NBA, and the MLB. We talk about bands, music, biopics, and more!
