It's the Hailee Steinfeld hour on The Geekdom Fancast! Just like we reviewed two music movies back to back we (accidentally) bundled together two Hailee Steinfeld movies, based on existing multimedia franchises that serve as origin stories. It's quite a doozy and so was one of these movies! In order to get into this youthful double feature, we brought on one of the YOUNGEST guests that the Fancast has ever had - Patrick Rhodes from Marvel-Less Marian!

We first get into Bumblebee, the newest Transformers movie, and maybe the best? We talk about finally nailing some of the Autobot designs, actually wanting to root for the human characters, and being creative about the transformations! It's relatively spoiler free but be ready on that skip forward button just in case.

Next we get into the newest Spidey! Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. How does Derek feel about reviewing an animated movie? You'll find out! We talk about how they nailed Spider-Man better than any of the live action movies, what we thought of the animation, and the idea of what can happen next to Miles. We're ending 2018 with a BANG! and a Thwip!

The Geekdom Sportscast is our spinoff podcast format about fantasy leagues, and pro sports in general! This is the NFL Edition hosted by Derek and Robert.

Usually Derek gives Myke a description to post on here because Myke knows nothing about football, but it's the holidays and we're all busy. Safe to say - Derek and Robert are probably getting their asses kicked in Fantasy, because neither seem that happy on social media. Um. Some teams were eliminated from the playoffs, probably and they're not happy about it. They're just don't ever seem to be happy about football right? Some crazy touchdown probably happened though! Wasn't that nuts? Uh. There was a guy who got injured... right? That's a bummer. But football is still happening! I think. I know the Super Bowl hasn't happened yet so it has to be. So, uh. Woo! Let's go Lakers.

The Geekdom Sportscast is our spinoff podcast format about fantasy leagues, and pro sports in general! This is the NFL Edition hosted by Derek and Robert.

The holiday season bites us in the ass here at the Sportscast as Robert and Derek have to do a lightning round of an episode for Week 14! But they still go over the crazy (and random) performance of Derrick Henry, the "Miracle in Miami", and Robert's Texans being upset by the Colts.

Dec 13, 2018

This episode has been a long time coming for Myke, and thanks to Derek, it's finally happening. We're finally dedicating an entire episode to action movies - specifically the ones of the martial arts variety, and we couldn't think of anyone better to discuss them with than David Vo! David runs Martial Arts Action Cinema a website dedicated to action movie news: 24/7! David and Myke geek out about Jackie Chan, Donnie Yen, Jet Li, and more! Derek gets to talk to someone about Into The Badlands and they all come to blows over the Bourne series.

Check out David's site at MAActioncinema.com

There may not be a Star Wars or a Marvel in sight this upcoming December, but that doesn't mean there aren't good reasons to hit up your local theater. In fact that vacuum seemed to create room for a lot of other movies to take the month! Join us as Sherice comes on to help Derek and Myke go through every weekend in December movie releases! Spoilers: there isn't a lack of The House of Mouse!

The Geekdom Sportscast is our spinoff podcast format about fantasy leagues, and pro sports in general! This is the NFL Edition hosted by Derek and Robert.

Yes, we're FINALLY back! Robert and Derek tackle the action from Week 13 of the NFL action including those surprising Giants and Bucs wins and what the hell happened to the Saints?! Plus they give their opinions on all the drama of Kareem Hunt and the Packers firing their coach. And let's not forget complaing about their Fantasy Football teams!

With Christmas less than a month away the rest of the fall gaming releases have come and gone. Travis and Myke are joined by James from the 'Gamesters PairofDice (on the Metasquid Studios Feed) to talk about everything from Assassin's Creed Odyssey to the Spider-Man DLC, WWE 2K19, and some Black Ops 4. Then they go over the recent developments in the gaming industry like Bethesda's big blunder Fallout 76, Sony skipping E3 2019, and more. It's an hour of the classic Gamescast you've come to love.

But if you could care less about all that and want to skip to the real meat of the podcast then scrub over to **1 Hour and 12 Minutes** into the podcast for our full spoiler review of Red Dead Redemption 2. James talks about diving back into the west after completing the original Red Dead several times already, Myke discusses the beginnings of the Online Beta, and Moody dives into the morality of Arthur Morgan. It's the geekiest hour of thirty minutes we've ever recorded.

Another Thanksgiving is here, but this one will sadly be marked by a terrible loss. 2018 brings with it the first Thanksgiving that the world will be without Stan Lee. While its hard not to mourn his death, we would be remiss if we did not celebrate his life - especially for someone who has given us so much to be grateful for. In this special episode Derek and Myke enlist the help of many of our previous guests, and one special friend of the pod, in commemorating the life and passing of Stan Lee. Stan, we are so grateful to you for helping to create this community that we feel safe and thrive in. Rest in Peace Stan Lee and Happy Thanksgiving to all! Excelsior!

It's another Derek and Myke catch up episode! We had so much to say last week about the movies we've watched that it spilled over to this episode. California's also on fire again, so we definitely can't help but talk about that and then we get into 'A Star Is Born' for the majority of the episode. Derek does talk about seeing "On The Basis of Sex" and Myke talks about "The Haunting of Hill House". Its another classic TGF episode!

It's Week 10 on the Geekdom Sportscast and Robert and Derek are starting to feel the pressure in their Fantasy leagues. They also recap the games of Week 9, talk about Dez going to the Saints, and give their thoughts on the teams that are either making playoff bids or already done.

Nov 8, 2018

We're just as shocked as you that we're doing a whole episode on this movie, especially since it was our guest, Gio's, idea. What's even weirder is that we talk about sports for a lot of the beginning part of the podcast. Yet its fitting because the band whose biopic we just watched has two songs that are totally synonymous with stadiums and sports. Just like there was more to Queen than 'We Will Rock You' and 'We are the Champions' you'll find out there's more to our tastes than just geek movies, the NBA, and the MLB. We talk about bands, music, biopics, and more!

Oct 31, 2018

The Geekdom Sportscast is our spinoff podcast format about fantasy leagues, and pro sports in general! This is the NFL Edition hosted by Derek and Robert.

Oct 25, 2018

The Hauntcast (newly named) is back for another spoooooky episode. Actually, it's just a really funny one where we review the new Halloween sequel! Friend, and buff movie buff, Dana Keels joins us to dissect David Gordon Green's new installment in the staple horror franchise. We talk about the tonal shifts of the movie, what Jason's inner monologue would sound like if he was hyper-verbose, and how badass the ending was.

Oct 24, 2018

The Geekdom Sportscast is our spinoff podcast format about fantasy leagues, and pro sports in general! This is the NFL Edition hosted by Derek and Robert.

In Week 7 there was probably more drama going OFF than ON the field as Derek and Robert discuss the trades from around the NFL. But they still talk about the games from the past week and give their early theories on who the front runners are for the Playoffs.

Oct 20, 2018

It's the most Spookiest Time Of The Year and we're here to dive into horror movies with our guest, writer, director, and actor Jason Avalos! We first talk to Jason about his time in the industry, working as a Latino, and his new Horror Movie show on IGTV and YouTube! Then we all three dive into our favorite horror movie franchises, if its fun going to see a scary movie by yourself, and more!

Oct 18, 2018

The Geekdom Sportscast is our spinoff podcast format about fantasy leagues, and pro sports in general! This is the NFL Edition hosted by Derek and Robert.

On this episode we talk about that Aaron Rodgers is very good at football. Okay, that's not all that happened in Week 6 as Derek and Robert go through that amazing Patriots/Chiefs game, the puzzling outcomes of the Jaguars and Dolphins, and MORE thoughts on Eli and those stumbling New York Giants.  Plus Robert tries to comprehend how his Texans keep winning games.

The Geekdom Sportscast is our spinoff podcast format about fantasy leagues, and pro sports in general! This is the NFL Edition hosted by Derek and Robert.

It's Week 5 already?! The season is just flying by. On this episode Derek and Robert talk about what's wrong with the Giants, Raiders, and Falcons but what's right with the Bengals, Browns, and Chiefs. Also they enjoy both of their respective NFL teams winning and pulling off some awesome W's in their Fantasy Football Leagues.
Oct 5, 2018

Your favorite shows might be coming back to TV, or premiering for the first time, and all the year's biggest video games have started to hit shelves, but that didn't stop Derek and Myke from going to the movies - a whole bunch. Don't worry, there's no spoilers for any of them - especially since some of them haven't even come out yet, but we do get into it. From Searching and House with a Clock in its Walls to Good Times at the El Royale, Derek and Myke geek out the ENTIRE episode.

Oct 4, 2018

The Geekdom Sportscast is our spinoff podcast format about fantasy leagues, and pro sports in general! This is the NFL Edition hosted by Derek and Robert.

On this episode Robert and Derek talk about the unstoppable forces of Jared Goff and the Rams plus the consistent Fantasy winner that is Alvin Kamara. They also share their thoughts on Eli Manning and when a player should just call it quits. Plus: (no surprise) more Patrick Mahomes talk!!!

Sep 28, 2018

Can we call title this week's episode WTF because that's all we kept thinking! Derek and Robert are back again to go over Week 4 of the NFL season and their dismal fantasy football teams. They talk about how the Vikings and Patriots fell flat on their face, the emergence of Josh Allen and Baker Mayfield, and how both their real favorite teams just can't seem to get it going.

Sep 28, 2018

Even if you've been hiding under a rock you know that Lebron James is now playing for the Los Angeles Lakers and that means, among many other things, that the new NBA season is going to get pretty interesting. Because of that, and the fact that they just love this franchise, Travis and Myke decided to go extra hard in the paint for their review of NBA 2K19. Originally their coverage was going to be part of the main Gamescast release this week, but it just ballooned into its own episode.

For more coverage of 2K19 check out more thoughts on GodHatesGeeks.com

Sep 27, 2018

This week on the Gamescast is a triple header of big game release reviews. If you weren't able to break it up from the headline, Travis and Myke talk Spider-Man, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, and Destiny Forsaken. We also get into some of the new trailers from the Tokyo Game Show, the Call of Duty IIII: Blackout Beta, and more.

Sep 19, 2018

Another week of football has just happened and Derek and Robert are back to bitch about their teams, fantasy and real. They talk about the superhuman abilities of Ryan Fitzpatrick and Patrick Mahomes, the super lackluster New York Giants and Buffalo Bills, plus lets not forget those two embarrassing kickers of the week.

Sep 19, 2018

It's a Geekdom first, we actually get to talk about an awards show THE DAY AFTER THE AWARDS SHOW and you don't have to wait a whole week to hear about our thoughts of this year's Emmy Awards! We really go over all the comedy, and the comedy category, because without Veep in the way - other people got awards! We also get into the hosts and the ceremony and everything in between. Which wasn't much, but we made the most out of it! Our friend Eva Ceja joins us with a special drop-in from actor, and new friend of the show, Jared Rider! It's good, and finally on time!

Sep 14, 2018

We've got Predators and Myers' a plenty, we've got Widows and Venoms galore. More Wizarding World movies? We've got 20! That's right, its that time of year. The summer blockbuster season is over and it's time to move on to -- fall blockbusters? Yeah, there may be more comic book adaptations and big budget franchises on the way still, but we've got so much more! Our buddy Ryan Scott from MovieWeb.com joins us to go over all the films we're excited about from September to November, and I promise you we have the BEST takes around.
